Portfolio
This portfolio contains downloadable PDF files. To keep the file size at a reasonable level for downloading, I reduced the resolution of images from the original 300 ppi to 72 ppi.
To give you an idea what kind of graphic design work I do, here is a list that shows some graphic design projects I have proudly completed for some of my clients.
The purpose of this list is to showcase my work, and contains a selection of my clients and their projects.
DOC—Department of Conservation
For over five years I’ve been enjoying an excellent working relationship with the Department of Conservation. Any print design for DOC publications and signs needs to adhere to the DOC Publication Standards which I am familiar with. Below is a small selection of projects I have completed for DOC.
The Farewell Spit and Puponga Farm Park brochure (PDF 1.2 MB) is one of over 20 full-colour brochures the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy commissioned me to do.
In a number of these brochures DOC made use of my stock photos. For this particular brochure DOC contracted me to take the photos.
The Nelson Lakes Area Mountain Bike Trails fact sheet (PDF 0.6 MB) is one of over 30 two-colour fact sheets I have completed for the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy.
The purpose of these fact sheets as well as the above brochures is to provide the public with valuable information about the conservation areas.
The Approaches to Angelus poster (PDF 1.1 MB) gives a detailed overview to visitors who plan to venture to the Angelus area in Nelson Lakes National Park.
I created and illustrated the map and track profiles from rudimentary data provided by DOC.
This 1.2 m wide Kowhai–Hapuku Route sign (PDF 0.7 MB) is one of two signs erected at either end of the Kowhai–Hapuku Route near Kaikoura.
DOC’s newly published Mt Richmond Forest Park map features this panoramic view of the Richmond Ranges (PDF 1.1 MB), built from data supplied by DOC.
CheeseShop
Robynne Harvey’s CheeseShop is unique, as are many of her products. I have had the pleasure to assist Robynne with the continual growth of her business, as she explains in her testimonial.
Machinery Direct New Zealand
Excavators is one of Machinery Direct New Zealand’s specialties. Their website gives a comprehensive overview of models and specifications.
This is one of several promotional excavator brochures (PDF 1.6 MB) which can also be downloaded from the website.
NMIT—Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology
I have been involved in numerous projects with the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, a high-quality tertiary education provider in the top of New Zealand’s South Island. For the following project I worked with NMIT’s International Education Services.
NMIT’s International Students brochure (PDF 1.1 MB) is aimed at potential students overseas. It portrays NMIT’s commitment to quality education and depicts its location, Nelson, beautifully.
Simple, logical, easy to follow, and one (corporate) colour were the requirements for this Application Form (PDF 81 kB).
This NMIT advertisement (PDF 0.5 MB) with its stunning backdrop featured in a publication by SONOR.no—Study Outside Norway.
This is one of several display banners (PDF 0.7 MB) NMIT uses for advertising and as eye-catchers at promotions.
