Pricing
I charge a monthly fee, based on the scope of your website. For a basic website it may be as little as NZD 195 (plus GST) per month. For websites with features like e-commerce or online bookings the monthly fee will be higher.
Additional third-party charges may apply for specific functionalities such as a shopping cart, booking system, newsletter subscription services, etc.
A monthly subscription is a win-win: predictable, lower upfront cost for you, and getting payment for my work as we go.

Yes, generally twelve months, unless otherwise negotiated.
Design and build process
The time frame depends on many factors, such as the website’s complexity, how much information is available upfront, and my availability.
The quickest e-commerce website — with over 200 products — I ever built for a client took two months from the word go to going live. However, that was an exception.

If you are stuck for content, AI may come to the rescue. However, no AI knows your business the way you do. Therefore I recommend using AI as a starting point only.

I can arrange the hosting of your website, in which case it will be added to the monthly subscription costs.
Every website needs a domain name (eg www.example.com). If your business is brand-new, I can help you with the search and registration of an appropriate domain name.
The domain name registration fee is charged annually.
I can help you with the setup of @yourdomain email accounts.
Emails are usually managed through a third party such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. However, there are many other email hosting providers, and I’m sure we can find the right one to meet your requirements.
Yes, daily backups with at least 30 days retention are standard.
SEO and marketing
Google as well as other search engines regularly crawl and index websites.
Your business will be listed on search engines, and I will do my best to increase its ranking through so-called SEO (search engine optimisation). However, I cannot guarantee any top-level rankings.
Yes, SEO (search engine optimisation) is included in the monthly subscription fee.
Yes, I can assist you with the setup of a Google Business Profile. This is not part of the monthly subscription fee and is charged separately.
I can add links of your existing social media accounts to your website. However, I don’t set up or manage my clients’ social media accounts.
Ownership and cancellation
You own the website and all its content.
You are entitled to use your domain name as long as you pay the annual registration fee.
This is dependent on the circumstances and the reasons as to why you wish to cancel the subscription, and whether it’s during the minimum subscription term or not.
Obviously my obligation to work on your website will cease, and you will need to find someone else to take over the care and maintenance of your website.
Your website is yours and you are free to take it elsewhere.
Depending on the circumstances, the minimum term subscription charges may apply.
Ongoing support
Apart from the general maintenance and security updates, I can update your content, images, and provide technical support. This can be either built into the subscription fee, or charged on a per use basis.
By email is my preferred option. That way everything is documented and won’t get lost or forgotten.
Yes, if the content updates are part of the monthly subscription fee, the limit that we negotiated in conjuntion with the subscription fee applies.
Otherwise content updates will be charged on a per use basis.
